Geocache Description:

What's this now? It's a Reverse Wherigo! My personal spin on this is to keep it relatively simple, and to add a bit of caffeinated aroma to your search. Given that there are not too many choices for hot, caffeinated beverages, as of the placement of this Wherigo in this area, this should be a relatively quick reverse experience.

In a typical Wherigo you move from zone to zone, performing tasks along the way until you have the final coordinates. A REVERSE Wherigo does not give you coordinates...it just tells you how far away you are. Your task is to determine where the cache is based on the distance you get from multiple "readings".

The final container is a camo bison in an "ouchy tree".

This is a Wherigo cache, with a twist. The cache is not at the posted coordinates, and you may begin your search from any point in the world! You can start your adventure from near the posted if you choose. The cache itself is a bison tube hidden within 2.2 kilometers of the posted coordinates.

This Wherigo converts your Wherigo app on your phone or your GPS into a virtual version of the "Reverse Cache Box" which tells you the distance to the cache, but not the bearing (direction you need to go to get there). You may begin your search from any spot in the world using your smartphone or Wherigo-compatible GPS to navigate to the cache..

The cartridge was created by -Waldmeister- and is available to DOWNLOAD HERE.

-Waldmeister-'s "The first Reverse Cache [WIG]" is the original cache in this family.

Your task is to find the cache by periodically querying your Reverse Cache Box for the distance to the final location. To make it more fun/challenging, try to use your Reverse Cache Box as few times as possible. All instructions and necessary information needed to complete the cartridge is contained within it. The cartridge is multilingual.

To begin, you will have to type this code into your player:

204316
289532
759979

It is suggested that you take the code with you on your journey. It will be needed if it becomes necessary to restart your player for any reason.

Optional:

When you have reached the final, you will be given some statistics on your quest. If you wish, you may enter the details into your log, and also post the number of times you calculated the distance.

Also, at the end of the game, you will be given a personal passcode. You can enter this passcode to allow you to create your own reverse Wherigo cache. (To do this, when you start the cartridge, select "create" rather than "play", and follow the prompts). This personal passcode is not required to play the cartridge for this geocache ... it is provided if you want to create your own Reverse Whereigo cache in the future.

About Wherigo

Wherigo is a real-world GPS-enabled adventure game. You will need a Wherigo-compatible device (some GPS, and many Android phones/iPhones/iPads with a compatible app). You can use your Geocaching account to log into Whereigo.com (required for the link above labelled "DOWNLOAD HERE"). If you want to know more about Wherigo there are many excellent resources available on the Internet.

Please do not include hints in your log about where and how you found the cache or post photos that would give away the final location. Any logs that contains spoilers will be deleted.

Have fun and be safe! The roads in this area can get busy depending on the time of day. Free parking is available at both the posted coordinates as well as the final cache location.
