Lake McMurtry was chosen by your Spring Fling 2018 Committee for so many reasons...not the least of which is that they are a great bunch of folks who REALLY want us to have Spring Fling in their park. They know all about Geocaching, heck there are many active caches already in the park, including one that you have to Kayak to. They welcome more caches, and are willing to let us hide our temporary caches anywhere we want. There are miles of hiking, biking and running trails, 2 disc Golf Courses and they consider themselves a premier Kayaking lake because they don't allow water sports like skiing or wake-boarding that would negatively interfere with Kayaking. Bring your own yak or rent one of theirs. For you Drone Lords, you're welcome to fly without restrictions other than normal FAA guidelines.

* Hide and Seek - Use your imagination to create the best cache. Cache containers will be judged & prizes awarded on Sunday during our farewell gathering.

* Children's Games - Fun for our youngest cachers.

* GPS Accuracy contest

* Poker Run and other Fun Games

* Saturday Night Meal at 6:00pm - will be provided by PURDY Q food trucks - please mention in your WILL ATTEND LOG if you plan to buy the meals so we can get a head count - menus at Purdyq.com. Meals will include drinks and dessert

* Release Forms, T-Shirt Order Forms, Hide and Seek Cache Registration forms & Rules have been added below. FORMS CAN BE MAILED WITH CHECKS FOR ITEMS ORDERED. FORMS CAN ALSO BE EMAILED AND MONEY SUBMITTED THROUGH PAYPAL. Deadline to Submit forms is March 23, 2018

* RV Spots and campsites - choose for yourself, either East or West sides of the Lake. Log onto the website and reserve you campsite soon. WWW.lakemcmurtry.com choose the reservations tab and click on the RV / Tent dropdown link

* there are no cabins at Lake McMurtry, but there are cabins nearby at Lake Blackwell and Stillwater is only 10 miles away with plenty of hotels, motels or bed and breakfast accommodations.
