You can call it “doo-wop” or “googie” or “Sputnik” architecture. It’s a distinctive style of architecture from just before World War II to the 1960s. Think “The Jetsons”. Think the atomic age. Think Las Vegas during its heyday. Wildwood, New Jersey, is probably the best known town for doo-wop architecture in the region, but Ocean City has some of its own.
