Geocache Description:

The Poet Society Series was created to bring a little bit of culture to our hide-and-seek world. Each cache description in the series contains an excerpt from a poem, some of which will correspond to the location or the cache itself.


​The terrain for this cache will vary based on season and recent weather. Boots are highly encouraged. Maybe waders. Please make sure to wedge the cache back into its hiding place to secure it.

 

A Round of Golf, ​author unknown

Life is like a round of golf
With many a twist and turn
But the game is much too sweet and short
To curse the shots you’ve missed
Sometimes you’ll hit straight and far
Sometimes the putts roll true
But each round has its wayward shots
And troubles to play through

So always swing with courage
No matter what the lie.
And never let the hazards
Destroy the joy inside
And keep a song within your heart
Give thanks that you can play
For the round is much too short and sweet
To let it slip away.
