Make yourself as small as possible, almost invisible, keep very quiet while you search and if you are very lucky, you will be rewarded. You may see something move in the shadows. At first you may think it was a wild animal, a mouse perhaps? Keep very still; you may be lucky enough to see this Gnome or another one of his kind.
The Cheshire gnomes are very shy and have been hiding away from the mortal beings of this world for hundreds of years. They have been watching with interest the actions of their brothers on the Wirral over the past few years and seen that it is safe to reveal yourself to some mortal beings through a game called geocaching.
You will now enter the world of mystery, folklore and a little known legend involving a fellow in a red suit.
Little did you know that Father Christmas is really a Gnome.
He has been delivering presents to children everywhere on just one day of the year, he then spends the rest of his time with others of his kind..............gnomes!
If you look closely it’s easy to spot; the big white beard, the bright red clothing and the shiny black boots, all the hallmarks of your friendly garden gnome and oh that nice festive fellow Father Christmas.
He has now decided to spend some time in away from the cold of the North Pole and settle in leafy Cheshire, he loves the location and he has all of his Cheshire Gnome Trust friends near by.
So if you like Christmas and you like gnomes, then stop by and say hello to him.
Please keep his whereabouts secret, sign your name on the parchment he is carrying and hopefully you may be introduced to other gnomes of the CGT very soon.
If you get caught never ever admit to looking for Little People, Goblins, Gnomes or Fairies.
