Geocache Description:

Hello, neighbour!

We live in such a wonderful place, here in Port Moody. Why not take a pleasant walk down the hills and into the heart of our lovely little locale. This is a long walk, but there is no tough uphill sections, so consider leaving the vehicles behind if you'd like a nice walk.


The posted coordinates will take you to Stage 1. At each stage, you must gather information that will lead you to the next stage. Eventually, you will find the cache at the final spot!

Stage 1: Stairway

  • A: How many stairs are there, including the landing but not including the very top or very bottom?
  • B: What is the first word (at the top) on the metal plate in the sidewalk? How many letters are in this word?
  • C: How many flat, square sections make up the fence next to the top of the staircase? (Brown wooden fence)
  • D: How many posts are there in the same fence?
  • E: How many metal statues of dogs are located at the bottom of the staircase?

Stage 2: Bear-smart Garbage Bin (N49 17.AC W122 49.BDE)

  • F: What is the sum of the first two digits of the Bylaw Number listed on the nearby sign?
  • G: There is an address listed on the front of the garbage bin. What is the last digit of the street address?
  • H: What is the last digit of the Bylaw Number listed on the nearby sign?
  • I: How many words are on the blue sign?
  • J: Which numeral appear four times on the phone number listed on the garbage bin?

Stage 3: Parking Regularion Signs (N49 16.FGH W122 49.GIJ)

  • K: What is the 3rd digit in the GST number?
  • L: How many red words are on the top sign?
  • M: What number do you get if you add together the digits of how many hours the lot is patrolled?
  • N: What is the 6th digit in the listed phone number?
  • O: What is the 2nd digit + 2 in the amount of the violation fee?

Stage 4: Bridge (N49 16.KLM W122 49.KNO)

  • P: How many of the light poles are coloured pink?
  • Q: How many stone pillars are on the north side of the bridge?
  • R: How many small black bars are located between each pair of large black bars?
  • S: There is a sign on the south side of the bridge with two large words on it. How many letters are in these words...except any letters immediately following an apostrophe?
  • T: How many apostrophes are in the aforementioned sign?

  • X: Two words on the sign are displayed in a semicircle curved shape. How many letters make up these words Minus 1?
  • Y: How many words are on the blue sign?
