Historic Sites Tour: Utsalady Vista Point
The natives call this place Doksk Ad. The first white people settled here in 1853 and began calling their port community Utsalady. Within three years a saw mill was built and by 1870 there were 54 houses and 147 people living here. The community had a blacksmith, a telegraph office, a saloon, and a school. By 1893 sailing ships carried daily production of 74,000 bd/ft of lumber to world markets.

Woodcarving by Carl W Strever & Gene Remington, June 1979.
Mt Baker is just out of sight around the corner so once you find the cache, be sure to wander over to the public boat ramp (it's just a 1/4 mile east of here).

Finding the cache:
- Don't be fooled by the "letterbox" container that's located in this park. Note that the size of the cache is "other".
- It is always a good idea to have a pencil or pen with you.
- Please rehide the cache as well or better than when you found it.
- Please let me know if there are problems with either the cache or its coordinates.
