About Ifield Station

Ifield Station

This station ws opened on !st June 1907 as Lyons Crossing Halt. Later that year it became known as Ifield Halt. It was one of a series of unmanned halts set up by the London Brighton and South Coast Railway,to be worked by rail motor trains. It became known simply as Ifield Station in 1930. It is 51 km from London Bridge.

The cache is not at the published coordinates . These are for the footbridge at Ifield Railway Station.

From the platform ( this station is unmanned) you can see 3 signs. 

1) painted on a wall,black with yellow numbers =ABCD

2) black sign with white numbers and a T =EFG

3) white oval with black letters and a K =HIJ

The cache coordinates are 

N51 DE.(H+F),J,I   W000 BF.(C+F),D,(A-B)

You will need to use stealth as this can be very busy with muggles at times.
