Sarò più che lieto di controllare nuovamente la cache per verificare la sua conformità con le linee guida.

Siziano, 40 years later: 5 / Casatico, The little church

A Siziano ho vissuto dal 1968 al 1978: da 1 agli 11 anni.

Poi i miei hanno pensato bene di andare ad abitare a 100km di distanza. Ok, siamo andati in campagna e in una casa più grande; ma in un'epoca senza cellulari, internet e tecnologie di comunicazione moderne, in pratica mi hanno sradicato dalla mia confort zone di amicizie, sport, scuola, hobby, giochi…

In queste settimane, dopo 40 anni durante i quali non ci siamo più visti né più sentiti, mi è venuta la nostalgia e -ve la faccio breve- ho incontrato, rivisto e risentito un sacco di amici, ex compagni delle elementari, del basket…

A loro, a Siziano, all'adolescenza diversa, al rincontrarsi dopo 40 anni, al magone, alla nostalgia e alla vita dedico questa piccola serie di cache.

Qui ogni tanto venivo a pescare… Mamma, vado alla Chiesetta! Però ai tempi il laghetto era privato, quindi chiuso con una rete… Violata un po' di volte per prendere un sacco di belle tinche e carpe. Ma senza cattiveria :)

Adesso il Parco del Gesiolo (nome con cui è conosciuta qui la chiesetta) è un'area verde pubblica molto amata dai Sizianesi. Si racconta che il laghetto sia stato originato da una bomba della II Guerra Mondiale e che sia alimentato da acqua sorgiva.

Siziano: I lived there from 1968 to 1978: from 1 to 11 years.

Then my parents thought to go living 100km away. Ok, we went to the country and to a bigger house; but in an age without cellphones, internet and modern communication technologies, they basically eradicated me from my comfort zone of friendship, sport, school, hobbies, games ...

In these weeks, after 40 years during which we have neither seen nor heard anymore, I have been homesick and -I'll tell you shortly- I met, reviewed and resented a lot of friends, former classmates, basketball teammates...

I want to dedicate this small series of cache to them, to Siziano, to a different adolescence, to our reunion after 40 years, to the lump in our throats, to nostalgia and to life .

Sometimes I used to go fishing here... Mom, I go to the little church! But at the time this pond was private, so it was fenced with a net... I violated it a few times to get some beautiful tench and carp. Don't take it personal :)

Now the Parco del Gesiolo (so they name the church) is a public green area and Siziano citizens love it a lot. It is said that the pond was originated from a World War II bomb and it is fed by spring water.
