השביל הספירלי הוא חלק מגן היסטורי שתוכנן ב1949 ע"י האדריכל שלמה אורן. אולם ההיסטוריה שלו מגיעה גם לתקופה הצלבנית בהיותו חלק מהמצודה שהינה מהגדולות בלבנט כולו! אתם עומדים בנקודת הגובה הצפונית של גן המצודה. החוקרים משערים שלנקודה זו היה תפקיד מיוחד במבנה המצודה האדיר. הוא שימש כעמוד תמך לגשר שבין שני החלקים של המצודה - החלק הפנימי והחיצוני. ראו את החץ בציור ודמיינו בעצמכם – כ900 שנה לאחור

The spiral path is in the historic garden designed by the landscape architect Shlomo Oren in 1949. But its history goes earlier to the Crusader period, being part of the castle, which is one of the largest in the Levant! You are standing at the northern height point in the "Citadel Garden". The researchers think that the place had a special role in the fortifications. It served as a supporting pillar for the bridge between the two parts of the citadel - the interior and the exterior (see the red arrow in the sketch above). Imagine yourself standing here 900 years ago.
This geocache was hidden at the top of the spiral path, by students from the Community Information Systems Faculty in Zefat College. Its campus is located 300 meters to the north.
