Jelenleg magántulajdonú horgásztó.
A II. világháború végén 118 cigány férfit, nőt és gyermeket lőttek le a csendőrök és a nyilasok a tó mellett. A tiszteletükre 2014-ben felállított emléktábla a tó északnyugati részén található.
Veszprém megye első vidámparkja itt nyílt meg 1960-ban, amely 13 évig működött.

These days it is a private fishing lake.
At the end of the World War II, 118 gypsies (men, women and children) were killed by gendarmes and Hungarian Nazis (Arrowcross Party) next to the lake. The memorial plaque erected in their honor in 2014 is located in the northwest part of the lake.
The first amusement park in Veszprém county opened in 1960, which operated for 13 years.
