For some of us, Grasmere conjures up visions of the Cumbrian mountains of North West England - pretty lakes, derwent pencils, romantic poets and of course a well-loved author of children's books. “This is a fierce bad rabbit;

and his claws and his turned-up tail.”
― Beatrix Potter
Grasmere Reserve is a nice spot for a walk and has some playground equipment for the family. Why not bring a picnic? But beware...
“It is said that the effect of eating too much lettuce is 'soporific'.”
― Beatrix Potter
