Welcome to Celtic Shores Coastal Trail! We have been waiting for you! The 92-km Celtic Shores Coastal Trail stretches from Port Hastings to Inverness on the west coast of beautiful Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. This exceptional trail system meanders along the coast providing first-class trail experiences for bikers, hikers, runners, quadders, skiers, snowmobilers and horse-back riders.
The land under both the old coal mine offices and the train station (just north of the office building) belongs to the DNR, and are part of the trail. The buildings from what I have heard were aquired by Cabot Links, but only the buildings. Feel free to wander up and take a look at the buildings, some of the last remaining buildings from the railway, just don't expect to be able to enter them.
