De gula tegelhusen utefter Norra Nedanvägsgatan byggdes runt 1968 på lermark. Dessa är pålade med träpålar. Gatan hette förr bara Nedanvägsgatan, men bytte namn i samband med ombyggnaden av Åbromotet i slutet av 1990-talet.
Träpålning är en teknik som fungerar bra så länge det är mycket liten omsättning på vattnet i marken så att inte syre kommer åt träpålarna, annars ruttnar de och man får allvarliga sättningar. Detta gör att man skall undvika att dränera marken om det inte föreligger problem med inträngning av vatten i byggnader. Viss fukt är dock acceptabelt, men man skall tänka på att man inte skall ställa kartonger i källarförråd direkt på golvet eller mot ytterväggarna utan använda trätrall eller liknande för att erbjuda luftväxling.
The yellow brick buildings along the "Norra Nedanvägsgatan" street was built around 1968 on clay ground. These are supported with wooden poles driven into the clay. The street was formerly named only "Nedanvägsgatan" but changed name when the traffic intersection "Åbromotet" was revised at the end of the 1990's.
Wood poling for buildings is a technique that works well as long as the water has a low circulation and therefore no oxygen is able to access the wooden poles. If they are exposed to oxygen they will rot and you will get problems with the buildings they are supposed to support. This means that you should avoid draining the ground unless there are problems with intrusion of water into the lower parts of the building. Some moisture is however acceptable but you should avoid placing boxes directly onto the floor and along the outer walls and instead have spacing like a piece of wood to ensure that there's a good air circulation.
