Omschrijving
In mei 2000 verschenen de eerste geocaches. Na een start in de US werd de 25e cache ter wereld in Europa geplaatst. Deze cache is nog altijd te vinden! Deze Mystery gaat over dit soort oude Europese caches: welke caches waren de eerste caches van Europa per land en wanneer zijn deze geplaatst of voor het eerst gevonden? De plaatsingsdatum is soms triviaal - niet iedere listing is na publicatie op de juiste datum gezet. Desalniettemin is de volgorde van de 1e caches in de verschillende EU landen een heldere lijst. Vele van de oudste Europese caches heten gewoon ‘Geocache’ of 'First ....'. Soms is deze naamgeving 'verwarrend' aangezien het niet altijd de eerste cache is….Van de 2025 geocaches die in het eerste jaar geplaatst werden, zijn er 82 (let op!) in Europa verschenen. Maar in welke landen werden deze geplaatst en in welke volgorde? Een beperkt aantal is nog actief! Hier zijn verschillende -afwijkende- lijsten voor te vinden.
Opdracht
De waarde van het land wordt bepaald door de volgorde waarin de eerste caches verschenen zijn.

CACHE
De cache is geplaatst in een groot 'hotel' - laat dit object heel - maak het niet kapot en forceer niet om open te maken! Het object is met zorg gebouwd van hergebruikte materialen. Hier is veel tijd in gestopt!
Maak het slot OPEN (zie hint) en SLUIT weer zorgvuldig. Het hotel bevat 10 doosjes met goodies. Laat de doosjes in het hotel. Goodies kunnen meegenomen of geruild worden. TB's kunnen bij het logboek achtergelaten worden. Let op: SLOT! code op basis van de puzzel! FINLAND.IERLAND.ENGELAND

In May 2000 the first caches appeared. Geocaching started in the US but the 25th cache was placed in Europe. This cache can still be found! The topic of this Mystery is old EU-geocaches: which were Europe’s first, when were they placed and when found for the first time? The date of placement is sometimes trivial - not every listing has been updated after publication. Also, sometimes the naming is 'confusing': First... is not always the first cache…. Many oldest caches were usually named ‘Geocache’. Nevertheless, the sequence of countries in Europe is a clear list! Some of these caches can still be found. About 200 different lists are available.

CACHE
The cache is placed in a large 'hotel' - do NOT demolish or force to open! All materials have been recycled/re-used. Take care please! We spent a lot of time preparing and building it!
To access the cache OPEN the LOCK (code required: see hint) and CLOSE WELL when finished. The hotel contains 10 plastic boxes with goodies and a box with a log book. Goodies can be traded or taken. Do NOT take the boxes! TB's can be left with the log book. Attention: Lock! code based on the puzzle: FINLAND.IRELAND.ENGLAND
