This cache is called Preservation for a variety of reasons.
It is the title of the incredible single by The Kinks, released as a precursor to their 1973 album Preservation Act 1. This song needs to be played at top volume with the bass turned up to 11! Play it in your car or your lounge room and feel everything tremble. The subject matter is still incredibly current for today's age.
Faith and culture are to be preserved, respected and celebrated. Orthodox Christmas is almost upon us which is another reason for my placing of this cache; and you shall find many intriguing gifts inside, described below.
In the cache, you will find literary/musical artefacts from my childhood all wrapped up and ready for preservation in the hands of all new owners, with descriptions upon the wrapping detailing what may lie within. Rather than flogging them off at the Sunday markets, I present them as an alternative to swag for all cachers to share and partake in. This is but an inkling of the many elements that shaped my upbringing.
Finally, preserving the wonders that nature has to offer us is of great importance as the years tick by. I love walks though tranquil forested bushland and enjoy locating caches hidden amidst these areas.
This cache is large and pretty easy to locate. The tree coverage will cause the GPS to wander but you should see the obvious camouflage pretty quickly. Enjoy the gifts, you will find plenty of log paper and pens inside as well. And if you have any literary or musical artefacts you wish to part with, simply wrap them up with a descriptive word inscribed upon the paper and drop them off. Enjoy! Cчастливого Рождества! L'chaim!
