Welcome to the Mills-Norrie State Park Winter Series 2018! This trail of 13 snow-friendly caches will take you around the southeast side of the park. Most of the caches are camoed preform containers, but there are some exceptions. Be sure to bring your favorite writing utensil, as none are included in the containers. There are parking lots near #1 and #2, and another parking lot near #7. This Staatsburg parkland is comprised of a few separate parks. Margaret Lewis Norrie State Park is to the south and contains a campground and a marina. This is the park you will be visiting today. Ogden Mills and Ruth Livingston Mills Memorial State Park is to the north, and is the home of the Dinsmore Golf Course and the Staatsburg Historic Site, along with the Hopeland trail area to the north. About this cache: Bald Eagles have been returning to this area of the Hudson River. From gz, you may be able to spot one on the ice floes or in the trees of the Esopus Island. You are looking for a small tube about the size of your pinky. A multi-tool may be handy for the retrieval of this one. Parking coordinates N 41 49.934 W 073 56.465
