For the past year, I have held an event on the last Sunday of the month. During the winter months, I have been looking for places that offer shelter, warmth, food and hot drinks. I have had my eye on this venue for a little while as it’s a little out of the ordinary.
In January, the last Sunday coincides with Australia Day and Geocaching.com have produced a special souvenir in celebration. All geocachers attending an event over the weekend 26 - 28th January 2018, qualify for the souvenir.
If we are Resourceful enough, we may have the facilities to get down to Botany Bay.
Meet at 1000 and finish at 1100 although you can stay on if you wish.
We'll have time to chat about recent and future geocaching adventures and glean snippets of information about those tricky and infuriating caches.
Hopefully some of the geocachers that I haven't met yet will attend as well as the usual faces.
There will be a small bucket to help travel bugs and geocoin on their way and hopefully I will remember to take an artistically posed photo of the assembled throng.
As we are in the winter months, the usual parking restrictions are lifted so there should be some free parking available nearby. If not, there is pay parking nearby i.e. in Promenade Park.
Wheelchair access should be possible.
