Happy New Year ! Time to get your 2nd of 2 souvenirs from this holiday.
A simple meet & greet:
The coordinates take you to a picnic table in the middle of nowhere of the Picayune State Forest. This is a great place to spot bears, bobcats, a variety of bird life, snakes, and even Florida's elusive Florida Panther. Oh, besides those just memtioned, many Burmese Pythons are also turning up here. Watch your step. Two more were just found across the street from my home. Bring your camera........just in case. Or a machete :D
There are 4 trails to arrive at the posted event coords. All are covered with water right now. I checked it out. You choose how you want to get there. Some are deeper than others. Pick one. YO HO, YO HO
Please pay the $2 fee at the Iron Ranger located at the parking area.
