Co-ords for the Lawrie Park Estate, occupied in the 1850’s by some affluent persons, architects and painters, no cache is there.
The Estate take its name from the Lawrie family who for several generations owned much of the land and several large properties in the area.
In 1806 Andrew Lawrie bought the rebuilt Sydenham Hall, he was a major who served under Wellington, he died at Burgos in 18AB
In 18CD the impressionist from CPP #8 – Monet’s Mate, painted this view in Lawrie Park Avenue towards St Bartholomew’s church.
