Enjoy a nice hike at a quite park in West Seattle. Park hours are 6 a.m. until 10 p.m. The park is in the Arbor Heights and Fauntleroy neighborhoods. Fauntleroy Park is a 32 acre city park at the headwaters of Fauntleroy Creek which flows and meets Puget Sound just south of the Fauntleroy ferry dock. Please use caution on any of the the parks wooden boardwalks! Some sections where the metal traction surfaces are missing or damaged may be slippery when wet. Fauntleroy Creek runs through the park and provides soothing sounds. Watch for owls. I provided coordinates for a parking lot and trailhead on SW 97th Street. There are closer entrances to the park and cache location. But the trailhead location provides for a nice 5 minute hike to the cache. Why not take a nice, short hike in a wonderful city park? No need to bushwhack or even leave the trail. Please practice leave no trace hiking in this beautiful city park. There is no need trample any vegetation to find this cache.
