Royal Wine Depo
Royal Wine Depo of Sátoraljaújhely, which is sometimes called "Wine Church" by locals, was built in 1913, based on the plans of Kálmán Váczy-Hübschl, architect. The "church" had multiple functions. Wine merchants used to work, and some of theme even live, there, and they used to store their wine here, which was bought from local wineries around the Tokaj Wine Region. That tome the most important type of wine was the Aszú. They chose this location because it's close tho the train station and it made it easier to fill the wagons. The offices and the flats of the merchants were on the upper floors and the depo of wines was on the groundfloor. During communism it was owned by the state and after re-privatisation it had several owners, such as that one who partly renovated it, but now its condition is getting worse and worse. The cache is hidden on the groundfloor, not at the level of the street, but on the upper floor, outside the depo.

 

Bortemplom
A magyar királyi közpince, a helyiek által csak bortemplomban hívott épület, 1913-ban épült. A templomnak két célja volt. A borkereskedők ideiglenes lakásaként szolgált, illetve a kereskedők itt gyűjtötték össze az eladni kívánt bort. A helyszínválasztás ezért volt fontos, így könnyebben át tudták rakodni a bort a vonatokra, a közeli vasútállomáson. A kereskedők irodái a legfelső szinten voltak, alattuk az itt dolgozóknak voltak szobáik, a legalsó szint pedig szó szerint pince volt, ott tárolták a lerakott borokat. Az épület modern stílusban épült, Váczy-Hübschl Kálmán tervei alapján. A kommunizmus ideje alatt a tokaj kereskedőházhoz tartozott, később a rendszerváltás után privatizálták, több tulajdonosa is volt, részlegesen felújították, de azóta romlott az állapota. A láda fönt a "templom" ablakánál található.
