Geocache Description:

Bautista Canyon is part of the Overland Route taken by Juan Bautista De Anza during his expedition to establish a route from Mexico to San Francisco in 1774. Alessando Trail runs from Bautista Canyon Road up the hill to the south to FS Road 6S22. Suppercheeseburger and I hiked up hoping to hide a cache on the large waterfall to the west of this trail but the terrain proved to just be to much to reach that location so we added a couple along the "Most Difficulty" 2E44. This was our turnaround point. This hide can be reached from the bottom or from the top off 6S22. Either direction is a bit of a hike so be prepared.
