次の各事項を良く読んで自己責任で行動ください。
①GZは遺跡の中にあります。石を採取することは禁止されています。
②進入口付近は私有地ですので駐車しないでください。
③駐車場からGZまで約700mで、所要時間は20～30分です。
④GZまでは案内板(下の写真参照)に従って進んでください。
⑤なるべく複数人数で訪問されることをお勧めします。
⑥GZは急斜面にあります。足元には十分気を付けてください。
Please read the following items carefully and act at your own risk.
①GZ is in ruin. Don't take talc.
②Please don't park your car around trail head.Because here is private area.
③It is about 700m from parking lot to GZ. maybe, you'll take 20～30 minutes.
④Please advance according to a sign (cf. under photograph) to GZ.
⑤I recommend what is challenged by a team with you more than two.
⑥There is GZ in the steep slope. Please be careful about a step enough.
石鍋は滑石を材料に作られたもので鎌倉時代まで実生活で使用されていました。西彼杵(にしそのぎ)半島では滑石が多く産出したことから、石鍋製作遺跡が70ヶ所以上見つかっています。ここでは、西彼杵半島で多くの滑石が産出した理由が何なのかを考えてみましょう。
The stone pan that the talc was prepared into the materials was used in real life until the Kamakura era. A lot of talc produced it in the Nishisonogi peninsula, the stone pan production remains are found more than 70 places. So, we will think what the reason that much talc produced at Nishisonogi Peninsula.

西彼杵半島は「長崎変成岩類」と呼ばれる変成岩に覆われています。（下図「ホゲットウ周辺地質図」参照）
変成岩とは「いったんできた岩石が、熱や圧力を受け、その岩石に含まれる鉱物の種類や岩石の構造が変化してできた岩石」のことです。さらに変成岩は①接触変成岩＝周囲の岩石がマグマからの熱により変成を受けてできる変成岩、②広域変成岩＝地殻変動やプレート運動等に伴う高い圧力や熱により変成を受けてできる変成岩、に分けられます。そして長崎変成岩類は「広域変成岩」です。
Nishisonogi Peninsula is covered by the metamorphic rock called "The Nagasaki anamorphism rock". (reference chart below "Mineral resources Map around Hoggetou" )
The metamorphic rock is the rock which a rock made once catches heat and the pressure, and the structure of the mineral kind and rock included in the rock changes. Furthermore, The metamorphic rock is divided into two type.① contact metamorphic rock = caught the anamorphism by heat from magma, ② wide area metamorphic rock = caught the anamorphism by heat form magma and high pressure of the crustal movement or the plate exercise. And the Nagasaki anamorphism rock is "wide area metamorphic rock".

長崎変成岩類はジュラ紀～白亜紀（約2億～約6,600万年前）にかけて太平洋の底に堆積した泥、海底火山の火山噴出物（玄武岩溶岩など）が固まったものが変成したものです。蛇紋岩は変成岩の一つです。
西彼杵半島の滑石( Mg₃Si₂O₁₀(OH)₂)はこの「蛇紋岩」( Mg₃Si₂O₅(OH)₄)の近くで見つかっています。これは、プレートの沈み込みに伴う高圧により、蛇紋岩中の物質が近くにあった結晶片岩中に移動したことでできたと考えられています。そして、西彼杵半島では蛇紋岩が多く見られることから滑石も多いと考えられます。
The Mud that deposited at the bottom of the Pacific, and the volcanic ejecta (basalt lava) of the submarine volcano hardened, was altered to "Nagasaki metamorphic rock" in the Jurassic to Cretaceous (approximately 200 million - approximately 66 million years ago).Serpentine is one of the metamorphic rocks.
"Talc" (Mg₃Si₂O₁₀(OH)₂) was found near "serpentine" (Mg₃Si₂O₅(OH)₄) which is a metamorphic rock of Nishisonogi Peninsula. To be accompanied by to sink the plate by high pressure, materials in serpentine moved in near crystalline rock that performed talc. Many serpentine exist at Nishisonogi Peninsula, so, many talc too.
