Parking is accessed through the neighboring restaurant parking area - a short hard dirt loop.
Do NOT attempt to access this from the highway; it would be very dangerous.
"Just Because" caches were started as a retaliatory action against "just another pill bottle in the end of a guardrail" hide. Some have liked the challenge, some have not, and some are still looking! This one happens to be behind a guardrail, but is not directly related to it in any other way. Actually, there used to be (if I remember correctly) another cache here several years ago. At least I know there was at least one letterbox (not hybrid) It seems to be long gone.
Reaching this cache either requires Tarzan skills or, for normal folks, a short hike around the rim of this geologically scenic formation. You will see an access feature that leads to the water's edge, should you choose to go there. Do be careful as the sides are steep, and the structure is old (but still fairly stable). In the summer you will want to watch for spider webs and use mosquito spray. It's always a good idea to take someone with you, or to let someone know where you are going.
When you find the container, PLEASE recover it since this area does draw people who tend to get into mischief.
There is little in the way of drinkable water here, and what was is now dry as stone.
