Geocache Description:

Well this G&G will be faster than this community’s growth. Monmouth Meadows was developed in order to ty to capture a portion of the property market that was thought to become a boon to Harford County’s growth as a result of the DoD’s Base Re-Alignment and Closure (BRAC) efforts BRAC promised to bring an influx of people migrating to Aberdeen Proving Ground from Ft. Monmouth as that installation was earmarked for closure. Unfortunately, the expectations fell short of the BRAC predictions. This particular area was originally designed as a 55+ retirement community, and the developer started building in 2008. Unfortunately, when the “bubble” burst late in 2008, only two 14-unit condominiums (the white ones you see near the cache, and BTW - I live in the white one nearest this cache. Give me a call or IM me; maybe we can get together.) were completed before the developer had to declare bankruptcy, and he was forced to sell the development rights. Subsequently, two additional condominiums and several dozen townhomes were constructed without the age restrictions. Happy Caching all. Please replace the cache as you find it, and let me know if it requires any maintenance. I promise to take quick action, as I only live in one of those 55+ condos.

Please provide your own writting implement, and you might consider a small TOTT. Enjoy.

Congratulations to PopAndCrew for the FTF. May you have many, many more.
