In summer enjoy colourful wildflowers, spot beautiful dragonflies and butterflies, and listen for the distinctive calls of lapwing, curlew and skylark, look for fantastic fungi in autumn, and keep an eye on the skies to see soaring birds of prey year round. You can also enjoy spectacular views of the northern Lake District fells from the viewpoint, learn about ancient volcanoes, and discover very special wetlands.
