Geocache Description:

A nice little ride down a Cornish Lane, there are 6 caches along this lane, all leading to a bonus cache that will be a big challenge for most. In each container is a clue towards the bonus cache. For the bonus cache you will need climbing gear to get to it, and numbers to get into it.

Whiteford House was built in 1775 by John Call and demolished in 1913. Descendants of the Call family sold it to the Montague family, who then sold it to The Prince of Wales in 1879. It was then converted into office's for the Duchy, who sold its contents and furnishings for a pittance. It was demolished in 1913 whilst still in the ownership of the Duchy. Some of the stone was used to build nearby Duchy College. The stables, gardens and folly survive. The folly is called Whiteford Temple and up until 2012 the grounds hosted Whiteford music festival and fireworks.
