A straightforward traditional cache placed on the South West Coast Path overlooking Par Beach
This is a popular spot for walkers - please be stealthy
PAR BEACH
Par Beach is a great place to walk and bring your dog - it is dog friendly all the year round as long as you clean up after your best friend
The beach and sand dunes behind it were created a few hundred years ago when mining, industrialisation and the creation of Par Harbour caused the incoming creeks and rivers to silt up. The area behind the beach is a Nature Reserve and is cared for by a great group of volunteers - The Friends of Par Beach.
The coast path can be accessed from the car park (coordinates provided as a waypoint in Par Beach Pirate Cache #1) by going over a small bridge and up some slippery steps a few metres behind the pay and display machine.
The footpath along here does get very muddy and there are often large puddles after wet weather so you might want to wear wellies or good walking boots.
!!There are also some steep drops close to the path so please take care of your geokids!!
The cache is a petling tube tucked at the base of the hint item. Please re-hide it carefully.
