SETS: South End Trail System. Although only one short loop trail, this trail has some informative signage and wanders around a couple dry sinkholes. Level, firm, shady...this trail is suitable for almost anyone.
DO NOT park along the side of the road to retrieve this, no matter how tempting!
The park service will ask you to park in the designated areas. Parking along the roadside is hazardous and destructive to the verge. Please respect the Park rules since they invited us to place these caches and are excited about having geocaching once again be an active part of what they offer to the visitors.
What in the world is an "epiphyte"? I can't tell you how many times I've touched these and didnt even know what they were called. You might even find reading about them online to be fascinating.
UPDATE: 03.03.26 After a surprising string of DNF logs I added this to my list of "better find out what's going on here". Turns out that the beautiful tree has fallen and all of the epiphytes have died. Well, I can work around that! I also have more accurate coordinates than when it was first placed, so those have been updated, too. It's not as easy as it was before, so the D/T has been upgraded.
Have fun, enjoy the walk, listen to the birds.
Remember your water and you bug spray!
