This cache is inspired by Calypso62 and his wonderful multi; Meggsie's Mural (GC6ZZG5)
Located at Hookems Corner Hornsby, the water towers were for many years considered an eye sore by locals especially as the surrounds fell into disrepair. In 2016, Sydney Water replaced the old rusted barb-wire fence that used to surround the site with a new security fence while the Council carried out landscaping to improve the aesthetics of the site and screen the infrastructure from public view.
The piece de resistance however, was the commissioning of Scott Nagy and Krimsome to paint a huge underwater scene on the tank.
This is a 2 stage multi. Parking is available right next to the tanks. Look carefully and count closely; oh and you may need to do some homework before you arrive.
