If you look to the east of here, you can see what is left of the original Sunset bridge (which is almost nothing) over the Santa Cruz River. The severe flood of October 1983 completely destroyed the bridge and blocked access to the freeway from Sunset Road. Thirty four years later in 2017, a new bridge south of here replaced this original bridge.
The GPS coordinates may be a little off because of the nearby metal and power lines, but the hint will get you there.
