Be prepared for a tough trek of about a kilometer through dense forest, briars, ticks, and swamp for this interesting little cache, which is somewhere between small and regular in size. The waypoint parking is your beginning point and although you will be tempted to park in a private subdivision closer to the cache, I strongly advise against it. The neighbors and their dogs will not appreciate your presence, and if you return to find your vehicle impounded, you have been warned.
You will also be tempted to park near a power substation on Kings Bay Road. Electrical power to a highly secured nuclear submarine base with 100+ hydrogen bombs is a top national priority, and several hundred marines in the area to secure the base are not amused by personnel traipsing around their electrical power substations.
You have permission from the landowner to search for the cache, and the area directly between the waypoint and cache is all owned by that same landowner.
Also be warned that this is a great place for snakes, and be prepared to do some wet wading following periods of rainfall. The 4.5 terrain rating is not intended to deceive you. But hopefully you will be amused by what you find at GZ.
BYOP, and perhaps a small TOTT for extracting the log.
