SLOVENSKO:
Le deset minut od centra Ljubljane se nahaja prenovljeno nabrežje Ljubljanice, ki je znano po imenu Špica (ime izhaja iz špičastega kopnega dela). Špica je bila nekoč ljubljansko kopališče in tudi danes je zaradi prijetnih zelenih in lesenih površin Špica videti kot plaža, kjer številni Ljubljančani in obiskovalci Ljubljane v lepih dnevih lovijo sončne žarke.
Leta 2009 je bil odprt tudi nov most, 38 metrov dolga Hladnikova brv na Špici, ki mesto povezuje z zelenim zaledjem, predmestjem in Botaničnim vrtom. Brv je zamišljena kot ultralahka struktura, namenjena pa je pešcem in kolesarjem.
Zanimiva informacija:
Na območju Špice so med izkopavanju pri urejanju bregov Ljubljanice odkrili eno izmed najstarejših kolišč nasploh in najstarejše kolišče v slovenskem glavnem mestu. Gre za edinstveno arheološko najdbo, ki dokazuje stalnost poselitve tega območja, vse od obdobja pred več tisoč leti do dandanes.

An only ten minutes' walk from the historical city centre of Ljubljana brings you to a renovated Ljubljanica river embankment landscaped as a park. The park's name, Špica, translates as 'pointed tip' and refers to the embankment's pointed shape. In the past, Špica was a town beach. Due to its pleasant green surroundings and a large area paved with wood, it still attracts numerous residents and visitors wanting to bask in the sun on fine weather days.

Next to Špica, a new 38-metre long bridge referred to as Hladnik's Footbridge was constructed in 2009. The bridge connects the city with a green suburban area, the location of the Ljubljana Botanic Garden. The bridge, with its super-lightweight structure, is reserved for pedestrians and cyclists only.
Interesting fact:
During construction works on the river embankment near Špica the remains of one of the oldest crannogs in this part of Slovenia (and one of the oldest crannogs in general) were discovered. An unique archeological corpus of finds which proves that this area has been inhabited for several thousand years.

Nur zehn Minuten zu Fuß von Ljubljanas Stadtmitte entfernt befindet sich diese renovierte Uferanlage am Fluss Ljubljanica, deren Name "Špica" auf die dortige spitzförmige Landzunge zurückgeht. Špica war einst ein Freibad und sieht noch heute wegen ihrer Grün- und Holzflächen wie ein Badestrand aus. Hier genießen zahlreiche Stadtbewohner und -besucher an schönen Tagen die Sonne.

Im Jahre 2009 wurde auch eine neue Br¨ücke eröffnet, nämlich die 38 Meter lange Hladnikova brv (übersetzt: Hladnik-Steg) an der Landzunge Špica. Sie verbindet die Stadt mit dem grünen Hinterland, der südöstlichen Vorstadt und dem Botanischen Garten. Der Steg ist als ultraleichte Konstruktion gebaut und nur für Fußgänger sowie Radfahrer bestimmt.

Interessante Information am Rande:
Bei Uferbefestigungsarbeiten wurden in der Nähe von Špica die Überreste der ältesten Pfahlbausiedlung in dieser Gegend (und eine der ältesten überhaupt) entdeckt. Es handelt sich dabei um einen einzigartigen archäologischen Fund, der beweist, dass dieses Gebiet schon seit mehreren tausend Jahren besiedelt ist.
