How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

Recently we walked in the Seven Little Australians Park, a wonderful bush land in Lindfield.
Unfortunately, people have left a lot of trash around this area. The plastic bags we always take along on our hike to collect garbage were not sufficient to collect everything. Therefore we want to mobilise the geocaching community by hosting a CITO event.

Cache In Trash Out (CITO) Events are an ongoing environmental initiative by the worldwide geocaching community. Since 2002, Geocachers around the world have been volunteering to clean up the great Geocaching game board!

WHEN:
Sunday, 4 February 2018 - 10:00 - 11:30

WHERE:
We will meet at the posted co-ordinates which is the entry to the Seven Little Australians Park and the Two Creek Trail.

WHAT TO BRING:
Hat, gloves, sunscreen, water and anything else you think you may require. Garbage bags will be provided.

WHAT WILL WE DO:
We will walk the Two Creek Trail, enjoy the scenery and collect rubbish along the way. There is also the opportunity to find all clues for the great multi 'Seven Little Australians Big Adventure' (GC79DYR) although we will walk the way points in reverse order. At the end of the trail we will take a group photo, pass around the log book and can swap travel bugs and stories.

Kuring-Gai City Council supports our initiative, and will collect the garbage bags the next day.
As with all CITO events, be mindful about the environment and ensure you do not damage the plants and shrubs.

Note: Dogs are allowed, but must be on leash.
