Arrowtown Gaol
Almost a park-n-grab, but will take you to one of the town's lesser-known buildings.
The old Arrowtown Gaol was built here in 1876, being the second for the little town by then. The first being a log of wood as an anchor, until one prisoner was strong enough to make that one portable.
The cache is outside but if you wish to go inside the gaol, the keys are available from the Museum in the main street.
You're looking for a small cache as there's little cover over all seasons for anything else on the grounds. 2017 saw the restoration of this hidden bit of Arrowtown's history, but reduced the number of hiding places.
This is a replacement to an earlier cache that had to be archived after damage was reported.
