Great Yellow Bumblebees were once common in Scotland, but they are becoming increasingly rare. We are planting bumblebee food plants in the area and hope to see more bumblebees in the future. The Geocache is a reward for all our supporters who have helped us establish this reserve. Everyone else is welcome to come and visit.
This is a wooden box, and you will have to briefly leave the path to find it Leave the car park behind the stone seat. But it is quite large so you should have little trouble finding it. The puzzle is to work out the four digits you will need to open it. The picture on the front of the box should help. I have had problems with the keybox, even when the code is right, so there is another way to open it
Why not walk all round the circular track. The level stroll along Loch Loyneside is a delight. At the Southern end is a ruined farmhouse which we hope to restore one day. Please do not disturb the stones. There are plenty of benches at various points, so sit and rest. Enjoy the silence and the views. I do.
