Whilst travelling along the Stansbury Road from Yorketown towards Stansbury I noticed this beautiful old ruin consisting of numerous buildings.
Am adding this to my Touch Of The Past Series .
Across the road from the main house you will see an old stone shed and at the rear of house is an old metal structure that was probably used during the second world war.
This is only the second I have seen but am sure there are more around the countryside.
I wonder how many "Happy New Years" were celebrated in this house as am sure at times it was a tough life with little water and dry hot summers to destroy crops and even the owners will to keep going.
I know for a fact my ancestors struggled to live off the land.
Please take care when parking and beware snakes may be possible in summer.
You are looking for a black micro preform tube with log and pencil.
You do not have to touch any part of the building so admire but don't touch.
Please replace as found
Take time to reflect on the many New Years you have spent and travel safe .
