Geocache Description:

Letterboxing is an intriguing “treasure hunt” style outdoor activity. Letterboxers hide small, weatherproof boxes in publicly-accessible places (like parks) and post clues to finding the box online on one of several Web sites. However, clues to finding some of the most highly-sought boxes are passed around by word of mouth.

REDESDALE ST

Standing at the posted coordinates you can see Redesdale St in front of you.
Look through the automated security gate, it is that road within this facility.
This is a secure area and it is highly unlikely that you will ever have the opportunity to drive on this street.

To find the letterbox you need to turn to your left and proceed up the hill to the east.
Do not leave the footpath. Do not cross any roads.
When you are 360 m from the start, the path ends abruptly near some wooden bollards.

You might consider marking a waypoint over the bollard on the right.

Continue onto the grass and turn right.
Walk to the fence at the far end of this grassed area. Do not go through any breaks in the fence.
Standing about mid way along this fence, turn around and face south east. (Back the way you walked in.)

On your left you have a different view of Redesdale St.
The cache is nearby. You are looking for an army surplus item. In front of you and slightly to your right.
202 metres from the posted coordinates and 179 metres from the bollard.

Beware of the sinkhole near the eastern footing of the pylon. (The cache is not down in there!)
This is an 'off leash' dog walking area and muggles (2 legged & 4) may appear with little or no notice.
Please be discreet when replacing the cache.

This small geocache is a letterbox hybrid and it contains a pencil, a logbook and a stamp.
You can use this stamp to record your find in your own album.
If you don't have your own stamp you can use mine to stamp the logbook or maybe draw a small picture.
Alternatively, you may just write your geocaching name and the date in the book.

BYO Pen, pencils, stamp, autograph book etc.

There is room inside for a few small swaps and possibly a travel bug.
There was a 'toy' brick, a 'wooden' lady bird and a TB already in the cache when first placed.

Please replace the stamp after you log your visit and replace the letterbox exactly as you found it.

You can use your GPSr to locate the letterbox by projecting a waypoint at 148°
