Hill-man has come back! After a long period of inactivity (last heard-of rambling over Bradda) he has come north again, having heard more wondrous tales, this time of wild game "in them curraghs, Yessir". Being wise enough to know wildlife is unlikely to be found on the TT Course he has thought to try a trek along a path parallel to the road, with the old railway line between the road and his track. Those of you familiar with his previous adventures will know what comes next. Yes, more disappointment, he's on the wrong track, he should be the other side of Ballaugh village. Never mind, at least this is a pleasant stroll. The path makes a good circular walk, starting at Ballaugh. The walk can be done in either direction, using the old MNR track to complete the circuit. An alternative start is on the Orrisdale road, room for one or two cars to park off the tarmac at the old level crossing site, a few more up nearer the main road and walking down the Bollan road. The lower start and using the MNR track will add about four hundred yards and another cache to the walk, the upper just the four hundred yards.
This cache is placed on the path side of the gate, well away from the road.
