Number two on a gentle stroll through the countryside near Ballaugh. All on a dry path, thanks to the path being on the side of a hillock. This is sandy ground, presumably of glacial origin like much of the ground in the northern plain.
On a fine summer's day the noise from the main road is constant, the day we placed the cache it was almost silent as the motorcyclists seem to be fine-weather people, The only thing you need to look out for are muggles with muttles, even the MTB bunch seem to have missed this path. (This could be a case of "Why can't I keep my mouth shut?") The cache is tucked behind a tree beside the path, you are looking for an artificial pine cone. No serious ivy involved here!
