About this location: Carpenter Park Recreation Center was the first stand-alone recreation center to open in Plano. Since 1990, this welcoming, family friendly facility has served the recreational needs of every age by providing year round fitness and exceptional art classes, a 5,000-square-foot fitness center with state-of-the-art cardio and strength equipment, open play pickleball, table tennis, volleyball and badminton, not to mention court space for basketball, handball and racquetball enthusiasts.
The center also features a brand new 9,000-square-foot aquatic facility, a gymnastics room, and a mile-long suspended indoor walking/jogging track. During the holidays, the center plays host to Breakfast with Santa for kids of all ages, and the Plano Christmas Market full of unique and one of a kind handmade gifts for the adults.
