Looking at my caching karma recently, combined with my recent (thanks to Geocaching!) love of exploring all the Bay Area trails compelled me to give back. So I'm creating this Johnny Appleseed series, sprinkling caches all along the trails closest to home. Glad to have Little Phlopper helping me on this round of sprinkling!
This cache is in Stevens County Park on a trail that leaves from the Villa Maria picnic area. I couldn't find a name for this trail anywhere, so I'm calling it Villa Maria trail. There is parking at the picnic area for a fee, or you can find lots of other ways to access this area through the myriad trails in the County Park and Fremont Older, which is near this cache. This one should be pretty straightforward, leaving a hint for the 4 major possibilities. The views on this ridge are quite nice, hoping this brings more travelers out on this part of the trail!
Congratulations to WERDAVE for the FTF, and thanks to NoBigDipper for the restraint.
Good luck, enjoy the trail, and remember it is good to give back!
