Geocache Description:

This cache is located at The Brighton Cemetery, which is not on most maps.  Parking is available at the end of Hoyt Place.  Knock on the largest monument when you pass it - you'll be surprised to find it is made of metal.  The Brighton Cemetery is the resting place of many famous early settlers including members of the Stone, Cobb and Blossom families.

The cache has only a log, so please bring a pen to sign in.  Please be respectful of your surroundings.  The cache is not placed near any headstones.

I always name my caches after songs....
Facts about the song Cemetry Gates by The Smiths:
  • The Smiths never shot a music video for the song Cemetry Gates.
  • The word “cemetry” from the song’s title was spelled incorrectly. Contrary to popular beliefs, Morrissey didn’t deliberately misspell the word. According to Morrissey, he always found it quite challenging spelling the word “cemetery."
  • Morrissey had a strong obsession with death and used to spend a considerable amount of time visiting the Southern Cemetery - a popular cemetery in Manchester, his hometown.

Congrats to veevay on the FTF! Sometimes it pays to enter the "Cemetry Gates" at night. Cache On!
