Umbrellaed by natural shelter, and bisected by a primitive native road, the "Neutral Zone" is the site of the prisoner exchange area that developed in the early stages of the war.
Word has it that during the last prisoner exchange, a secret scrawling was left at the site for the North by one of the western prisoners who did not want to be returned, as his life in the POW camp was so much more fulfilling than life with the Western Horde.
Soon after this exchange, the Neutral Zone collapsed when the West betrayed the goodwill of the North. But that is another story...
Word has it that the message could lead to the downfall of the Horde, so it's retrieval is of the utmost importance to the war effort.
