Plaza de España: situada en pleno centro del casco urbano y con una extensión de 6600 metros cuadrados aproximadamente. En su centro, sustituyendo a una antigua fuente tradicional, se alza un significativo conjunto escultórico obra de Enrique Pérez Comendador, titulado "Monumento al agua y la tierra", único en España por estar simbolizado por un hombre en piedra y una mujer en broncinea. En su interior se encuentran versos del poema dedicado al río Guadiana escrito por el médico y humanista Celestino Vega Mateos. En su cara porticada mirando al este, se ubica el Palacio Municipal "antigua sede del Banco de España" y el edificio de Correos y Telégrafos; opósito a él, en su lado oriental se encuentra la majestuosa Iglesia de Santiago Apóstol de estilo renacentista. Fue remodelada en 1965. Está a esperas de una nueva remodelación en 2018.
Casa de Cultura "Francisco Valdés": la pieza arquitectónica de mayor relevancia y valor en los dominios dombenitenses. Edificio singular, vanguardista y funcional, una verdadera joya que emerge con la máxima delicadeza, sutileza y elegancia, diseñado por el prestigioso arquitecto Rafael Moneo, Premio Pritzker de Arquitectura equiparable al Nobel para arquitectos, entre sus obras en la comunidad extremeña destaca también el Museo Nacional de Arte Romano de Mérida.
Merece la pena conocer la ciudad de DOn Benito sólo por lo bonito de las vistas de esta plaza.
