This news story caught my eye and I thought it was worthy of sharing.
At the beginning of December 2017 The Sage Hill Rock made news as drivers couldn’t seem to stop running into it. It was originally placed in a parking lot at a Sage Hill shopping area surrounded by yellow painted curbs.
Somehow, the rock seemed to attract cars with disastrous consequences.
After several collisions, the Sage Hill Rock was to be removed from the shopping complex but many on a Facebook page were upset at the loss.
So much so, it turned into a collection site for the Calgary Food Bank. Those who came to take photos of the local celebrity were encouraged to bring a donation for the food bank.
It became a valued by the community and consequently has been moved to safer area where hopefully it will not “resort to rage flipping” any more vehicles.
Here is the current resting place for the famous Sage Hill Rock. Be careful as you approach, particularly if you are in a vehicle.
