The building at this location has been a local cultural icon for almost 60 years. It is listed in the book: The Architecture of Historic Rockbridge.
Once used as a canoe livery, it made use of a DOT tunnel leading to the Maury River across Route 60 for paddlers to put-in.
If this coffee pot were full, It would hold 10,000 gallons of coffee. The geocache container is not as large as the coffee pot, and you must reach into a boulder to find it. The boulder is in front of another huge boulder with rocks stacked on top of it. The coffee pot is on the front of the cache boulder in a way that you will only understand when you see it.
