Reaching the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America requires years of dedication and hard work. In addition to 21 required merit badges, each Scout must complete a project that benefits their community.
The focus of Mike F.'s Eagle Scout project was replacing the Welcome to Wantagh sign after it had deteriorated and been damaged in a crash. New plantings and stonework complement the new sign as well as mulch, and general gardening. Mike completed the project with the help of Wantagh's Troop 96, community members and donations from local merchants.
Six months after completing his project in May 2018, the sign was destroyed by a snow plow! But Mike arranged for another sign to be made and in June 2019, he and fellow scouts replaced the sign, this time leaving more space between the sign and the curb.
You are looking for a hidden bison tube. Please visit the project -but it's best visited when the nearby synagogue is not in session. Be stealthy but be honest about the cache if asked.
