Uchon, nicknamed The Pearl of the Morvan, has character by its unique situation. If you roam this territory, you will encounter calm through the many ponds surrounded by deciduous forests, but also the power through this time its impressive granite chaos.

1 Le granit sain est marqué par des diaclases formées par le refroidissement du magma
2 L’eau s’infiltre dans le granit en suivant le réseau des diaclases : c’est l’hydrolyse
3 L’hydrolyse a éliminé les ions qui constituaient les minéraux de la roche, les plus résistants se sont transformés en arène granitique
4 L’érosion a individualisé les blocs de granit et transporté l’arène granitique vers les cours d’eau

1 Healthy granite is marked by diaclases formed by the cooling of the magma
2 The water infiltrates the granite following the network of the joints: it is the hydrolysis
3 Hydrolysis removed the ions that made up the minerals in the rock, the most resistant ones turned into granitic arena
4 Erosion individualized the granite blocks and transported the granite arena to the streams
